Shericka Williams adds to Jamaica’s medal tally

Shericka Williams recovered well and finished strongly to to grab a silver medal in the womens 400m behind Christine Ohuruogu of Great Britain and ahead of race favourite Sanya Richards of the United States of America. The second Jamaican to make the finals Rosemarie Whyte was seventh.

Shericka Williams’ time of 49.69 was personal best for the runner and her silver medal brings Jamaica’s medal tally to 5 - 2 gold and 3 silver medals.

    Yet another sterling performance by the Island’s Daughter, Shericka. You have done well, and the Jamaican flag looks good on you…now lets see how the silver shines on you!!
