Rising Jamaican Recording Artiste – Tami Chynn

It can be said that Tami Chynn was born into music, seeing that both her parents once pursued musical careers. It seems that this exposure to music from such a young age has influenced Tami to set out on her own path in music. Judging from her rapid success and growth in popularity thus far it is safe to say that she has been blasting her way though to tough and unforgiving Jamaican music scene with her unique vocals and sense of style.

Surprisingly Tami started out as a dancer in her teens and at the height and her dancing career toured with mega international star Shaggy to promote Hotshots album in 2001 – 2002. She was then influenced by family and friends to do music and that seemed to be the push she needed as she has never looked back.

Tami is truly an artist on the rise as over the past few months hits such as “hyperventilating”, “be mine” and most recently “looky looky” has been been enjoying great success locally in Jamaica and Internationally.

She has also done numerous collaborations with renowned Jamaican reggae-dancehall artists such as Sean Paul, Lady Saw, Beenie man and Wayne Marshall.

It can only get better now with word of her recent multiple album deal with musical powerhouse Universal Records. Good Luck Tami, make us proud!
