Reggae Film Festival 2009 Date and Information

The second staging of the annual Reggae Film Festival will take place from February 23-27, 2009 at the Emancipation Park in New Kingston, Jamaica. The festival will once again be planned by the Jamaica Film Academy through the Ministry of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports.

Make a Film in 24 Hours Competition

A big feature at this years festival will me a “Make a Film in 24 Hours” competition in which both proffessional and amateur are invited to create “film” of not more than five minutes. Entries are open and can be submitted through the Reggae Film Festival Website.

The Reggae Film Festival highlights the many films that have been made about Jamaica’s reggae music, it’s people and culture and seeks to promote the development of such films.
