if you are new to reggae then you can start with peter tosh.he was a genius and a fantastic preacher.we are living in an unjust world which peter did talked about that’s why most of the credit of reggae is being given to bob.peter is by far the best and all time heavy weight of reggae music and i will continue to love him and his music till the end of time.long live the peter tosh legacy,,,yes you are a true legend

Let us all pay a tribute to Mr Peter Tosh today at his mausoleum in Westmoreland. I will be there in the name of the brazilian reggae nation, and in the name of our band Raízes da Ilha (Island Roots) in which we always pay tributes to Mr Peter Tosh and Mr Bob Marley. Peace!!

Bob Marley at The One Love Peace Conference said the following as he called the two politicians onstage, and while he held their hands above his head and said while improvising on “Jammin’”:

“ Just let me tell you something (yeah), to make everything come true, we gotta be together. (Yeah, yeah, yeah) and through the spirit of the Most High, His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I, we’re inviting a few leading people of the slaves to shake hands. . . To show the people that you love them right, to show the people that you gonna unite, show the people that you’re over bright, show the people that everything is all right. Watch, watch, watch, what you’re doing, because I wanna send a message right out there. I mean, I’m not so good at talking but I hope you understand what I’m trying to say. Well, I’m trying to say, could we have, could we have, up here onstage here the presence of Mr. Michael Manley and Mr. Edward Seaga. I just want to shake hands and show the people that we’re gonna make it right, we’re gonna unite, we’re gonna make it right, we’ve got to unite . To me personally my dear friend and confidant the late great legendary Mr Peter Tosh was extremely well educated, and spoke in such a fatidic manner which seem to flow naturally, to me he was more than a friend, we were like brothers from different mothers if you will, and yet privately he was a very compassionate person, occasionally shy which ironically was quite the antithesis to his extravagant outgoing onstage presence which i’d witnessed on many occasions, i so miss his presence, Lord have Mercy, In ernest Neville Bardoli aka ‘Steppin Razor (c) ‘A Rastaman Prod Inc’ 2011

Peter Tosh (real name:Winston McIntosh October 19, 1944- September 11, 1987) was a Jamaican reggae musican. He was a member of the Wailers with Bob Marley and Bunny Livingston and friend Neville Bardoli. He was a Rastafarian and sang very political songs. His songs were a lot more radical than his friend, Bob Marley’s, whom he often criticized for selling out to the white mainstream. He also toured with the Rolling Stones and sang a duet with Mick Jagger. He was murdered in his home in Kingston during a robbery in 1987. His biggest claim to fame was a song titled “Legalize it” in relation to marijuana laws.

Peter Tosh was born on 19 Oct 1944 in Westmoreland, Jamaica. His birth name was Winston Hubert Tosh. His is also called Stepping Razor. Peter Tosh died on 11 Sep 1987.

Peter Tosh, was a reggae musician .He began to sing and learn guitar at a young age inspired by the American stations. After an illustrious career with The Wailers and as a solo musician, he was assassinated at his home during a robbery.In living memory of my dear friend and confidant The Legend that is Mr Peter Tosh a man i am extremely proud to call my friend, in ernest Neville Bardoli aka ‘Steppin Razor’ (c) ‘A Rastaman Prod Inc’ 2011.
