NHT Contributions Refund Info 2009

The National Housing Trust (NHT) is inviting persons who have contributed to the Trust in 2001 to apply for refunds for that year. The process is slightly different this year however as applications will only be taken online, this is an effort to make applications as hassle free as possible and less time consuming.
Application process
- Log on to the Official National Housing Trust Website at http://www.nht.gov.jm
- Click on the “Apply for Contributions banner on the right side of the website
- Read carefully what is needed as well as the F.A.Q. and refunds overview
- Request assistance if necessary or visit the NHT office for help
Although applications can also be made for other years, priority will be given for 2001 refunds.
Please contact the NHT directly with your requests and inquiries.

I have been trying to apply for refund , but each time i try to ket the company name i keep getting the company noit listed, what do i do next the company i am searching for is J Wray & Nephew Co.Ltd.

I would like to know the reason why refunds for employees of the Ministry of National Securities has been delayed.
I have been contributing to NHT since 1999 and now I would like to own my a house for myself. What would i have to do; say i found the land and wanted to build what will be the process be and how much will NHT give me as a loan to get things started…..

I used to work at Super Cleaners laundry from July 2003-October 2004 contribution was drawn from my salary weekly about two months ago i was going through some papers and found one of my pay slip and when i check i realize that my T.R.N #and my N.I.S# IS not correct on the slip so i would like to know if the company was paying over the contribution fee . thank awaiting your response

I applied on line from December 30, 2008 for my contribution refund but up to this date I have not seen or hear anything , my account number was also listed as requested but still nothing happen. Could you look into the matter for me, I am anxiously awaiting my money.

I submitted my application from January 5 but the information on where I worked got mixed up so I made the correction in the space provided, ie I chave been employed to the PIOJ since 1987 to present not the Ministry of Education as came up on the form. I was employed to a school in Clarendon up to 1981 which is not relevant for the 2001 refund. I expected that NHT would have taken note of the mistake and correct it. I was informed that my application would be processed by January 29 and sent to my bank but it has not been. What is my status? My ref no. is G527784-854. With thanks
I went to the NHT of in Mandeville and made an application for my current refund.
It was originally stated that the money would have been deposited to my (Mandeville) BNS account on the 19 JANUARY. On the evening of this date I was contacted by NHT by phone and told the money would be deposited on the 2 FEBRUARY instead. To date 4 FEBRUARY I have not received my refund and NHT wont tell me what is causing the delay in payment.

I’ve been a nht contributor since 1993 and only received one refund payment.. How can I retreive the remainder?
I applied for my refunds contributions at the NATIONAL HOUSING TRUST on the 2nd of January 2009 and has not received any positive words about the delay in receiving my payments some contributors from the same company that I works with have receive their payments and they made their applications weeks after mine was done.I have not seen what could have cause such a delay.
After a month i have not been notified that my application has been processed , thrown out ,or delayed. Please advise acordingly.

I have applied for my contribution refund from January 6,2009 and was told that I would get it in February. I have sent several Email requesting some information. To date I have not received any money or hear anything more from the nht. I would like to know if that is the correct way to treat customers. I think the service offered to us by the nht is extremely POOR.
On February 16,2009 I made application for refund from nht for the year 2001.An error about the year was on the application form and it was only when I check my account for the money which was not their and called nht they told me an error is on the form and I have to reapply.That is today March 17.I tried to correct the mistake but the year in default is giving me a problem.Please look at my application and get in touch with me by e-mail or one of the three phone numbersprovided.Thank you.

I am trying to complete the application form but each time i put in the company name it is not accepting it. What must i do? The company i am searching for is South East Regional Health Authority. I work at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital.
i applied for my nht cash refund in april. Mistakenly ,on the form i put in my pet name instead of my middle name. my middle name is Antoinette.

I applied for a refund just over a month ago and sent email to NHT to ascertain status of refund. The NHT customer service has not seen it fit to respond to my emails. I live abroad and so I doubt they will call me. I intend to give the money to my destitute Aunt in St Elizabeth. (What with Alpart closed and all) This may not seem connected; but something we Immigrants frequently hear is “Why dont you go back where you are from and fix your country?”. Its too much to fix ! Try getting decent customer service. Try asking a nurse in a hospital to help you. Try reasoning with a police officer or customs officer.

I applied for my 2002 contribution refund on January 15, 2010. I recieved a message via cell phone stating that my name (Judith Tucker) does not match my NIS.
This problem should have been corrected when i brought in my marriage certificate. Please check to see if the name on your system (Judith Tucker Marriott) has been updated to Judith Marriott, as my ID’s will reflect same.

I am very confused because i was told that i would receive my refund money on the 16th of febuary via the bank and up this minute i hav not seen a lodgement this system is rated very poor at first i took in all required documents for them to take the info from and buy the time i reach home they text to say they had not taken all the info from the document they hav been doing this online thing from last year and stil cant get it right am very upset about the system very poor

I apply for my NHT contributions refunds and got a text stating it would be ready within 15 days from the 20th of January 2010. Up until now it have not been updated to my scotia bank account!! Please investigate what is wrong!!

I have applied for nht refund from February 3,2010 and to date have not received any payment. What is the delay? And when will the payment be made? Getting to you via the phone proves to be very difficult and time consuming.

NHT so far has come up short in terms of customer service. i emailed the agent who was handling my case. (she asked me to email her if I was having difficulty)
So far, neither she or whomever is suppose to check the “we care ” mails has responded. If the Nht is broke , they only have to tell me so i can stop wasting time emailing them over and over. Betweeen the NHT and my old company i dont know which is worse. All I want is my refund. THIS IS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. WHAT EXACTLY IS GOING ON ?????????????????

I was sent a message from NHT refunds centre saying that there are some discrepancies with the information sent. This info was sent from January 24,2010, and is jus’ now April 23 i’m being notified? i did not know that you con send the money to the usa so can i change my address on the appilcation so i get the money send to my bank in usa.
three working days have turned into weeks and still no response from nht re:refund
My first application was made on 7/4/10.
Amount was sent to bank as stated by NHT but returned for error in account number.
I have not received an acknowledgement for my re-submission on the 23/4/10.
Receipt indicated I would hear something within 3 days. It is now 14 days and I have not received any acknowledgment to this new application.
Please let me know the position.
