Jamaica plagued by Mediocrity – here are two person examples:
    A. I conducted business with the Registrar General Office and paid for an expedited Birth Certificate – I was informed that it takes 7 business days after receiving payment and a properly completed application (internet) it took 18months and Voluminous E-Mail contacts plus the cost of an Airline ticket to the office in Jamaica before I could get it. explanations were for the most part unintelligible.
    B. I applied for my NHT refund !8 months ago worked for two high schools and one Insurance company, I was told that NHT cannot locate any evidence of any contributions in my name/ SS.number.
This I find quite unsettling, for a government to government transaction especially. To this date I don’t even make sense of the verbiage they told me.
It is high time that Agencies that serve the public get their acts together.
Thirdly far too many people have complaints about the shoddy job that the NHT is doing. Someone needs to look into these and many many more issues.
Our athletes are doing a wonderful job, building the country, but some are denitrifying the progress and suffocating the country.
I would someone in the related agencies cited to explain to me what is being done to correct and prevent these cancers from metastasizing. Thanks.

I applied for refund last year and was told that I am not entitled to any refunds. There was no reason as to why I was not qualified. I started working 1992 and went on study leave and vacation leaves 2000 t0 2002 and 2007 to 2009 and did not make any contribution for about six months for each leave taken. To date I am still employed at the same place.Could you indicate what was the problem?
    Thanks in advance.
