The Jamaican Folk Singers is hosting their annual concert season from September 6th to 14th 2008 at the Little Theatre in Kingston. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 6:00 p.m.The Jamaican Folk Singers has existed for over 40 years as a Non-Profit organization that serves the people of Jamaica.
The Little Theatre – 4 Tom Redcam Ave. New Kingston Jamaica
The theme for the concert season this season is “Out of Many, One” and is intended to be the major fund-raiser for the group with the majority of the proceeds from the event going towards the their 2009 Summer School programme, the Jamaica Library Service and various charities.

They are really cool I went to that concert ans the air of folk is rocking your aural hunger.
I am a past student of Jamaica School Of Music- I have been searching for a DVD of the Jamaican Folk singers for my children born here in USA to watch. Could you help me to locate one. I had an old VHS that was so beautifully done , but I lent it out and have not lost track of the individual. Please I need your help. Thanks.
This is the second year that I’ll be showcasing ONLY Jamaican music from spiritual/mento to reggae 24hrs per day commencing 6.00 am August 1st to 6.00 pm August 7th 2010.
I own copies of the Jamaica Folk Singers albums 2 & 3 which I brought to New York 26 yrs ago. Presently they are some place deep in storage & I’m unable to locate them. I’ve been trying desperately, again, to get copies for this years showcase. Whatever help I can get would be appreciated.
Some how this effort (showcase) will always be incomplete without these songs.
