Brittany Lyons Crowned Miss Jamaica World 2008

Brittany Lyons emerged from a pool of 16 contestants to become the winner of Miss Jamaica World 2008 in what is arguable one of the the best coronation shows in recent memory. Jade Grant was first runner-up and Marsha-Gay Reynolds, second runner-up.

Amazing how a very small fraction of the Jamaican population looks like her, but history will show that the ones that look like her have won most of the Miss Jamaica competitions. Hmmmm. I’m sure she is a decent young lady, but she doesn’t represent the true make up of my country at all. They should rename the competition to Miss Uptown Kingston, then it would be more fitting.
Breathen, out of many come one people…did you see the Miss Jamaica 2007-2008? she is a true replica of who we are and so is this young lady. Don’t get side track man, the lady is a true Jamaican….so appreciate. Maybe you can help us to understand your definition of someone “with a true make up of my country” is.
this is to mr jamaica, you said a small number of the jamaica population looks like this, well you don’t know very much about jamaica then my friend and perhaps you should learn before posting a comment, out motto is OUT OF MANY ONE PEOPLE do you even know what that means, the media has brainwashed society into thinking that jamacians look one way and one way only, jamacians come from every race on this planet,you would’nt know what a jamacian looks like if one were to pass you on the street because you only have one view of what you think all jamacians look like, my advice, try learning something about the people the culture and the country because you sound really uninformed with that bumb comment.

If you lived in jamaica you would realise jamaica has many different races. How stupid can you be.
